West Hollywood Blvd West Hollywood / Los Angeles Episode 98 Everyone knows about the Hollywood Walk of Fame portion of Hollywood Boulevard, but Hollywood Blvd's western terminus is at Sunset Plaza Drive in the Hollywood Hills. It then runs as a winding residential street down to Laurel Canyon Boulevard. In this trip we start by cutting across Sunset Blvd (because I can’t get enough of Beverly Hills Cop billboards) and catch Hollywood Blvd at Laurel Canyon, where we head West across W Hollywood Blvd (04:45). The first historic / cultural landmark on W Hollywood Blvd is the ‘Storer House’, which is a Frank Lloyd Wright house built in 1923. The structure is noteworthy as one of the four Mayan Revival style textile-block houses built by Wright in the Los Angeles area from 1922 to 1924 (05:20). The Storer House was prominently featured in ‘The Rocketeer’. Music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio
