Watch this exclusive #UkhrulTimes video. #Manipur chief minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited the disarmed Sinai #SuspensionofOperations (SoO) camp in #Kangpokpi district on Saturday after security forces took control of the camp following a joint operation. According to a government press release, only 17 individuals allegedly impersonating registered SoO cadres were found at the camp, which was meant to accommodate around 150 cadres. The chief minister called for an end to gun culture, urging people to surrender illegal arms and work towards lasting peace in Manipur. It may be noted that the press release did not state that the #SinaiCamp will be closed. Manipur has 14 designated Suspension of Operations (SoO) camps for Kuki armed groups under the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and United People’s Front (UPF).   / 1hguaqoywk   📌 Stay updated with the latest developments from Manipur and the Northeast. 📢 Don’t forget to Like, Share & Subscribe for more grassroots coverage.
