In October 2025, SAS officially reintroduced a true Business Class product on its short-haul flights, having originally replaced it with SAS Plus in 2013. Join me as I test it for the first time on the classic, intra-Scandinavian route from Oslo to Copenhagen, on one of the carrier's A320neos. All things considered, I genuinely thought SAS did very well as far as short-haul Business Class is concerned. Yes, the seats are the same as in Economy albeit with the middle one blocked, but the meal and overall service were very good for a 1h flight, not to mention that our aircraft was equipped with high-speed Starlink WiFi and in-seat USB ports. I also like SAS' new lounge concept where the former "Gold" and "regular" lounges have been merged, as it provides additional seating and a slightly better food & beverage selection even for non-Eurobonus Gold or Diamond members (or an equivalent with a partner airline). One area where SAS' short-haul Business Class product could improve though, is seat selection. In fact, I noticed that SAS charges for seat selection before the online check-in starts, which I don't think is appropriate for Business Class. At least I wasn't charged for it during the OLCI itself, as was the case on ITA Airways... other than that, I thought the tray tables could've been cleaned better, as there were quite a few stains on them. No comments on the lavatory though, as I ran out of time to visit it.
