Near miss CCTV footage & train driver safety plea

A Queensland Rail train driver has spoken out about the risks people continue to take on the rail network, pleading with people to stay safe. To get the message through, we have also released shocking new CCTV footage, showing how close two pedestrians came to death after crossing the tracks illegally. While the number of near misses on our network has dropped since our 'Crosses' campaign was launched last year, it beggars believe people continue to gamble with their lives just to save time. These incidents can also be very traumatic for our train drivers and guards. We urge you to stay safe by simply obeying the signs and signals at railway crossings, using the designated overpasses and underpasses at stations and staying behind the yellow line at all times.
