Ever since the 0.4% MDR on UPI has been announced, my feed has been flooded with panic, hot takes, and honestly-a lot of political misinformation. Some people are saying "UPI is no longer free", others are claiming "the government is taxing your daily payments". Now, I am neither an influencer nor representing any political party or anybodys views. So, I am not going to get into the political blame game or the motivations behind why certain narratives are being pushed. That’s not what this video is about. Today, my goal is simple: Jitna maine UPI ko samjha hai abhi tak, I feel it is important to demystify the confusion weaved around our dear UPI network, that Indians are so proud of! In this video, I have broken down the actual nitty-gritty with numbers, so as to help you understand Why MDR exists, Who asked for it, and Where this money actually goes!
