In this episode of Dummiez on da Hardwood, we break down whether Tyrese Haliburton is truly an elite NBA player, whether he IS the system or benefits from it, and how much Ivica Zubac changes Indiana’s ceiling. We also debate which trio is better between the Pacers and Knicks, whether Haliburton or Pascal Siakam should be the closer, if Indiana is deep enough to survive another injury, and which team in the East could give them the most trouble. Then things get spicy. Bobby says Indiana is a Top 3 team in the East. Are we being objective, or are we overreacting after opening night? We also talk potential NBA Finals rematch with Oklahoma City, the one move we’d make as Pacers GM, whether Indiana is a true contender, and how their core stacks up against San Antonio. Then we finish with three rounds of One Gotta Go: Ringless Legends, Offensive Weapons, and Championship Runs. 🍻 Shoutout to Santa Barbara Brewhouse for keeping the Dummiez fueled while we figure out whether Indy is really ready to crash the contender table. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro & Santa Barbara Brewhouse Shoutout 1:58 Is Tyrese Haliburton an Elite Player? 3:32 Is Haliburton the System, or Did the System Elevate Him? 4:52 How Much Does Zubac Raise Indiana’s Ceiling? 6:22 Which Trio Is Better: Knicks or Pacers? 7:31 Who Should Close Games: Haliburton or Siakam? 10:33 Is Indiana Deep Enough to Survive Another Injury? 14:22 Which East Team Gives the Pacers the Most Trouble? 16:44 Where Does Indiana Finish in the East? 17:35 Bobby: Pacers Are a Top 3 Team?! 18:09 Are We Overreacting to Indiana After Opening Night? 19:23 Pacers vs Thunder Finals Rematch? 21:23 Your First Move as Pacers GM 22:42 Pacers: Contenders or Pretenders? 24:09 Which Core Is Better: Indiana or San Antonio? 25:23 Santa Barbara Brewhouse Shoutout 25:57 One Gotta Go: Ringless Legends 29:20 One Gotta Go: Offensive Weapons 33:48 One Gotta Go: Championship Runs 39:19 Outro #IndianaPacers #TyreseHaliburton #PascalSiakam #IvicaZubac #Pacers #NBA #EasternConference #NBAFinals #NBADebate #Basketball #ContendersOrPretenders #DummiezOnDaHardwood
