Yaxel Lendeborg Changes EVERYTHING For the Warriors

Four games into the season, the Warriors might already have the most important development of the Steph Curry twilight years. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, the 11th pick in the draft, looks like a real long-term piece, and the hosts say it’s the best news the franchise has had in years. They’ve spent years waiting for a cornerstone who isn’t an older player, and this might finally be him. Steiny and Guru argue the whole conversation has shifted. It’s no longer just about finding someone to help Steph chase one more run. It’s about finding the guy who fits next to Yaxel for the next eight years. They get into his size, his passing, and how he’s already looking like the Warriors’ new ball handler. They also debate whether Jimmy Butler is a shortcut that doesn’t fit the new timeline. Along the way, they credit Mike Dunleavy’s draft work and call out the Draymond Green comparison. Topics discussed include: Why Yaxel is the most positive Warriors development in years Michael Porter Jr. and the next big free agent target Yaxel’s 6'9", 240 size and natural passing ability Mike Dunleavy’s draft record, including Yaxel at 11 and Podziemski at 19 Building around Yaxel and Podziemski vs. chasing a Steph title window Whether Jimmy Butler fits the new timeline Yaxel vs. Draymond Green’s slow start Is Yaxel the real deal, or are we getting ahead of ourselves after four games? Should the Warriors pivot to the future, or keep chasing a Steph title run?
