Caledon State Park Hike King George Virginia

Caledon State Park located along the Potomac river and I loved this hiking spot! The trails are all well marked and there is a cliff overlook, then the Caledon Marsh Trail takes you down to the sandy beach area where you can go shark tooth hunting. You can put your feet in the water to cool off but there is a sign warning about swift current and a big drop off asking people not to swim. I hiked 7.5 miles on this hike. I started on the Fern Hollow trail, then on to the Popular Grove train, then on to Laurel Glen and Benchmark trails, then veered up the Belmont Trail to the Caledon Marsh trail, then retraced my steps back to the Benchmark trail to the Cedar Ridge Trail. The Cedar Ridge trail is up and down hill and used my trekking poles to help. Then I took the back side of all these trails back to the parking lot.
