Kiirtan is a union with the inner self, opening channels of positivity through singing, dancing, and music. It engages the whole body and mind, helping you release stress, uplift your mood, and prepare for meditation.
The Sanskrit mantra used in kiirtan is:
Bábá Nám Kevalam
(“á” is pronounced as a long “a,” like in “far”)
Bábá = the dearest, closest one
Nám = essence / to identify with
Kevalam = only
Meaning:
“That which is nearest and dearest is everywhere and in everything.”
Ideation:
“Everywhere I look—in all I see, hear, feel, taste, and smell—I perceive one Loving Consciousness present in everything.”
This kiirtan melody was created by Acarya Devashiishánanda Avadhuta and remixed using AI based on his original composition.
Dedicated to His Beloved Master, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti.
After kiirtan, it is best to sit quietly and enter meditation.
