Second witness testifies in trial of men accused of posing as DTE workers, killing man

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy TasRay Copeland was the first to respond to a reported robbery or home invasion in Rochester Hills. Upon arrival, he found the homeowner's wife with her wrists duct-taped, cut her free, and proceeded to search the home. With backup, Copeland discovered blood in the basement, leading to the body of Murray, who had an empty gun holster. Copeland did not check for a pulse as he was confident Murray was deceased, noting a suspected gunshot to the face.
