An interpretation of Sonata in G Major K.146 by Domenico Scarlatti, performed on a classical guitar by Antoine Pansera. Domenico Scarlatti composed over 550 harpsichord sonatas, and although he used the same form for these works, they show exceptional originality. His works hold a key place in the development of the language and technique of keyboard music. The whimsical Sonata in G Major, K.146/L.349/P.106 (Allegretto) balances elegantly trilled snippets of melody with diving arpeggios. Although originally written for harpsichord by Domenico Scarlatti, it lends itself perfectly to modern classical guitar interpretation. I'm a Baroque lute, Renaissance lute, Classical guitar, and other plucked-string instruments aficionado! My repertoire focuses mainly on Early music, but also includes Romantic and Avant-Garde works.
