Zoran Sukurma - Through The Eyes Of A Child | original song

Thank you so much for listening to “Through the Eyes of a Child.” I hope this song makes you feel something and stays with you even after it ends. This song was inspired by AURORA and the use of “Through the Eyes of a Child” in the final scene of Netflix’s Adolescence. That final moment and the emotion created by the song inspired me to explore a similar feeling of childhood innocence, family, loss and longing through my own original lyrics and music. If you enjoyed the song, please leave a like and share your thoughts in the comments. Feel free to share it with others, and subscribe if you’d like to hear more of my music. Thank you so much for listening. Lyrics: [Verse 1] The room is keeping everything exactly where it lay The clothes are in the cupboard and the games are put away The bed will keep on waiting like it doesn’t understand That someone leaves as a child and may come home almost a man The years will move outside these walls while everything stays still The seasons change the window but the room remembers him And all the little pieces of the life that used to be Are waiting for a boy who won’t be here to watch them leave [Pre-Chorus] If only love could keep us small Before we knew the weight of all The things a heart can never mend The things we never thought could end [Chorus] Take me somewhere soft and mild Where nothing stays away too long Where every mother keeps her child And every child comes safely home Let me believe it for a while That love can make the whole world right Oh let me see it one more time Through the eyes of a child [Verse 2] There should have been a thousand days that no one had to count The birthdays getting older and the shoes he would grow out The ordinary afternoons that nobody would save The little things you never know you’ll someday wish had stayed But now the house remembers him in everything that’s there A photograph a favourite thing an empty waiting chair And every room belongs to something none of them can find A family that used to live without a before and after time [Pre-Chorus] If only love could keep us small Before we knew the weight of all The things a heart can never mend The things we never thought could end [Chorus] Take me somewhere soft and mild Where nothing stays away too long Where every mother keeps her child And every child comes safely home Let me believe it for a while That love can make the whole world right Oh let me see it one more time Through the eyes of a child [Bridge] Before we know that love can stay And everything can change anyway Before a sorry isn’t enough Before the world gets hard to trust There is a place where all is mild Where home means safe and love means kind Oh let me see it one more time Through the eyes of a child [Final Chorus] Take me somewhere soft and mild Where nothing stays away too long Where every mother keeps her child And every child comes safely home Let me believe it for a while That love can make the whole world right Oh let me see it one more time Through the eyes of a child #ThroughTheEyesOfAChild #Zoran #ZoranSukurma #OriginalSong #OriginalMusic #AuroraInspired #AURORA #Adolescence #NetflixAdolescence #EmotionalMusic #EtherealMusic #ArtFolk #IndieMusic #NewMusic #SingerSongwriter
