JONAH 1 | REV. PETERSON GITHINJI | 4TH OCTOBER 2026.

Jonah 1 teaches us a powerful lesson about obedience, calling, and the consequences of running from what God has asked us to do. God told Jonah to go to Nineveh, but Jonah chose to run in the opposite direction. What followed was a storm that affected not only Jonah, but everyone around him. Sometimes the storms we face are not meant to destroy us—they are an invitation to stop running and return to obedience. In this chapter, we are reminded that we cannot outrun God’s presence, His purpose, or His calling on our lives. 📖 Jonah 1:2— “Arise, go to Nineveh…” REFLECT: What has God been asking you to do that you have been avoiding? 💬 Share your thoughts in the comments. 👍🏽 Like this video if it spoke to you. 🔔 Subscribe for more biblical teaching and conversations that help us grow deeper in our walk with God. *Choose obedience.
