Inhumanity

The fourth track from the Endgultige album Garden of Earthly Desires called Inhumainity. The song was originally made to be a part of the collection called Eternity until some of the songs were destroyed on a transfer so I thought I would reuse what I could retrieve. Lyrics: We learned to fear each other's eyes To hear a threat in every word We built our walls and chose our sides Until no other voice was heard We named our hatred justice We dressed our rage as law We made the stranger less than us Then hated what we saw No monster came No devil spoke We did this to ourselves. Inhumanity We became what we feared And called it necessary Inhumanity We buried mercy To save mankind From mankind Fear became decision Decision became command A signature became a weapon A weapon became a hand The factories awakened The furnaces burned white We taught the steel to murder And sent it into night Build the engines. Feed the fires. Count the bodies. Raise them higher. Machines no longer slept Beneath the cities and the fields Every lesson we had learned Became another way to kill The warning lights were burning The final orders came A thousand suns rose from the earth And morning had no name Inhumanity There is no enemy now No victory left to claim Inhumanity No one remains To remember who was to blame Borders vanished in the fire Flags became ash Cities became shadows And still the machines obeyed Until every voice was silent Every hand was still We feared the end We fought to survive And in the end we became the thing that ended us.
