I Was Reliving My Childhood… She Was Making Hers

🏒❤️ I returned to my childhood hockey rink with my 8-year-old daughter, and experienced a full-circle moment I'll never forget. When I was Tessa's age, this hockey rink was one of my favourite places in the world. I spent countless hours here playing hockey, making friends, chasing championships, and creating memories that have stayed with me ever since. Now, all these years later, I'm back. But this time, I'm not the kid stepping onto the ice. My daughter is. For World Girls' Ice Hockey Weekend, Tessa attended a girls' hockey skills camp at the very same rink where I fell in love with the game. And what made this day even more special? My mom found an old photograph of me playing hockey in this exact rink when I was Tessa's age. We recreated that moment decades later! Along the way, we revisited my old championship banner, caught up with a former teammate, and discovered whether the legendary rink fries were still as good as I remembered. 🍟 And of course, this wouldn't be Give Bliss without spreading a little kindness! We brought surprise gifts to share with people around the rink as part of our Rink to Rink Kindness Tour. But the biggest surprise wasn't something we gave away.
