Routing Maple Bass Drum Hoops for a Better Fit

This video is a brief account of a customisation I made to a pair of maple bass drum hoops. The bass drum itself is a Gretsch 1970’s Stop Sign drum, converted from a floor tom - which was quite oversized. The procedure here is additional to having re-cut the bearing edges on the drum to allow clear passage for the drum head’s collar.
