A small sign leaning against the frame: GOOD GEAR, BETTER DAYS. Down the side, in Japanese: 根拠は現場 — the evidence is on site. 机の上より、手が汚れる場所のほうが知っている。答えはそこで拾う。Experience leaves marks. That's usually where the evidence is. Here's the thing about a chain that skips. You can't find it from a desk. There's no diagram for the exact half-link that's stretched, no spec sheet for the sound it makes on the third pedal stroke — you find it by putting your hands where the grease is and turning the crank until it tells you. Every trade works like this. The people who touch the thing all day know things the plan never contained: which step everyone secretly skips, which part always arrives bent, what the customer actually asks for. That knowledge doesn't write itself up. It stays on the floor, in the marks, with the ones doing the work. So when something isn't adding up, go there. Ask the hands, not the summary. The answer is usually already lying on the ground, waiting for somebody to crouch down. A relaxing focus session for deep work, study, late nights, and going where the work actually happens.
