Today, I am reposting my very first interview—an interview that happened to be with Gen Lhasang Tsering la. Originally published on December 19, 2021, this conversation marked the beginning of my podcasting journey. Looking back, I couldn't have asked for a more inspiring first guest. Gen Lhasang Tsering la was a freedom fighter, poet, writer, educator, and one of the most influential voices of the Tibetan independence movement. His life was a testament to courage, conviction, and an unwavering love for Tibet. From turning down a medical scholarship to join the resistance movement, to spending decades advocating for Tibet's freedom, he lived by the principles he spoke about. As we mourn his passing today, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to sit down with him and listen to his stories, reflections, and wisdom.
