“Back in the City” is a song based largely on my own story: growing up in a small coastal town, leaving home, and eventually finding my way to the city and the life I built there. Music has always been part of that journey, even though I was never the guy onstage playing guitar or singing the songs. So I decided to have a little fun with one song and see what happens when the same lyrics are sent traveling through completely different styles of music.
