NEW FOREST WALK at EXBURY, WEST COMMON & KING'S COPSE INCLOSURE (4K)

In this episode of my series “New Forest Walks”, I take a 5 mile circular walk from Exbury (located on the South East edge of the New Forest). Once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Fiver. I parked my car at Exbury Gardens (I was going to visit their Cafe after my walk) and after visiting the Church of St Katherine, I made my way through Exbury village. There was an amazing pair of vintage Petrol Pumps that were over 70 years old (restored for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and now a village amenity) located opposite the building that was once the old village post office & shop. I left Exbury and headed along a footpath, over Sturt Bridge, towards the settlement of West Common. Upon reaching the outskirts of West Common, I continued on to Blackwell Common and up to the Cemetery before walking along the remains of a Roman Road to King's Copse Road. My route then took me Westwards to the King's Copse Inclosure before heading South to Gatewood Bridge and over the Dark River. My last section of the walk took me Westwards along a gravel track back to Exbury and my final destination - the Exbury Gardens Cafe. Fiver & I filmed a walk at Exbury Gardens a couple of years ago.
