Dad swears he never shouts. Then a deadline lands at nine at night, the laptop crashes, the juice goes over the keyboard, and the whole flat hears him. An hour later he finds his kids hiding behind a wall of toy blocks, and hears his eight-year-old tell his little sister, in Dad's own calm voice: "He's not shouting."
