Catalinbread Airstrip / Trident A-Range Preamp

The Trident A-Range console defined the UK recording scene from the late '60s to early '80s, renowned for its exceptional sound. At its core, a discrete germanium-and-transformer preamp delivered tones ranging from Lou Reed's warmth to Frank Zappa's wild fuzz. When pushed, its preamps produced rich saturation, harmonics, and tonal magic. The Airstrip captures these legendary sounds in a compact stompbox with added versatility. A vintage-inspired discrete op-amp boosts the console’s front end for lush gain, while a tasteful treble filter fine-tunes brightness. A handpicked transformer adds iron-infused warmth, delivering everything from pristine cleans to gritty, collapsing fuzz. The Airstrip brings studio-quality tone to your pedalboard. https://catalinbread.com All backing tracks written, performed, mixed & mastered by Ryan Plewacki unless otherwise noted.
