Three Pines Lookout Hike, Moorea, French Polynesia 🇵🇫

Moorea is an island renowned for its crystal-clear lagoon, fine sandy beaches, delicious ma'a tahiti at the water's edge, exceptional diving spots and varied water sports. But on the mountain side, it also offers spectacular scenery. Its mountainous profile shelters volcanic peaks, calderas, natural amphitheaters and ridges covered with dense, lush vegetation. The 3 Pinus trail passes through dense tropical vegetation, consisting of tumu marumaru (falcata), pūrau (Hibiscus tiliaceus), climbing lianas and old mape (Tahitian chestnut) trees with imposing trunks and amazing shapes. You'll also come across streams where bathing can be pleasant, depending on the weather. At an altitude of 309 meters, the top of the trail offers spectacular views of Cook and Ōpūnohu bays, with Mount Rotui in the background, all surrounded by pineapple plantations.
