This Week In Stories 001 | When Childhood Turns Into Horror

Welcome to Episode 1 of This Week in Stories 👻 This week, I’m talking about one of my favorite horror concepts: taking things we associate with childhood and turning them into something terrifying. Toys, games, mascots, cartoons, nostalgia, innocence — there’s something especially creepy about horror that takes something familiar and safe and completely twists it. In this episode, I’m breaking down the stories that do this best, why the concept works so well, and which ones genuinely stand out to me. What childhood concept do you think becomes the creepiest when horror gets involved?
