Pitmedden Level Crossing - Aberdeen–Inverness line - Dyce, Aberdeen City

Pitmedden user-worked level crossing, between Dyce and Inverurie on the Aberdeen to Inverness line. This level crossing permanently closed on 4 May 2019 when then line closed for 14 weeks of upgrade work to double the track. There were previously plans to replace this crossing when the line was doubled, but Network Rail purchased the old station cottage on the far side of the line from the public road meaning there is no longer a need to maintain this crossing. The farm access is maintained by an underline bridge approximately 200m to the West. There was a station here which closed in 1964.
