Clarice Cliff Bonjour Jam Pot Sparks £135 Showdown in Yorkshire

Five dealers, four very different stories. In the heart of Yorkshire, a Clarice Cliff preserve pot turns into the day’s fiercest fight. A young collector wheels in a mint Beswick Old English Sheepdog from Stoke-on-Trent, and one tiny detail has the table grinning before the numbers start to climb. An Art Deco cigarette box with Japanese cranes ignites a debate about flamingos, fashion and… crayons, as one dealer reveals an unexpected plan. Then a 1930s Clarice Cliff Bonjour-shape, Aurea-pattern jam pot arrives with a mission close to the owner’s heart, and the bidding rhythm changes. Finally, a walnut-veneered 1930s dressing table-turned-desk tests whether nostalgia, upcycling and low height can meet in the middle. Which pieces beat their valuations, who blinks first at the table, and what gets sent home for a weekend makeover? Watch to see the twists, the tactics, and the handshake that matters most.
