Been mostly playing in public servers on the ground for a few weeks (maybe a month or more now lol), hadn't felt like flying for awhile (been pushing back in the community against strict landing rules in public servers for the last months + years, so I was most interested in some good ol' chill ground gameplay for the last awhile lol). Felt like getting back into practicing some flying in public servers to keep my skills sharp -- but I was a little rusty lol. As usual I prefer to have fun flying the heli by picking people up and airlifting them, but because of Roblox age verification rules and chat changes... it's hard to communicate with anyone now, and there isn't a lot of non-verbal ways to communicate I'm available to airlift people around, or that I need landing zones cut before I can pick people up. (Otherwise we get in trouble with 'management' and can get warned or our flying permissions removed lol). Mostly just did water drops instead lol... a few times I hovered around the fire and just let the team have fun putting out the fire, only standing by to drop water if it really fit the situation and doesn't take away from the team's fun (I'm more happy if it adds to their fun seeing a helicopter doing drops in the background, without ending the fire too quickly for 'em lol). Unfortunately at 6:35 I hadn't flown in so long so I forgot the button to release the hose so I can refill on water (they changed it in an update these last few months so my V button out of muscle memory wasn't working, so after that didn't work, I vaguely remembered/thought it was somewhere near the 'T' and 'Y' buttons lol... and in that moment I forgot Y turns off the engine... so my heli goes crashing into the water as I cut off my engine midair lol. Sorry staff/leadership! That is my bad lol. I remembered throughout the rest of the video that the proper button is now 'E' on the keyboard to release the hose/nozzle so it can refill. At around 39:56 it was getting dark/night time, so experimented with landing on the ground at a helipad that seemed nearby enough, and 'waiting out the night' by helping out on the ground supporting whatever other players may have been doing. Was kind of fun to just try and help 2-3 others that showed up shortly after with a vehicle trying to make a containment line -- but you can see the fire keeps moving too fast for us several times, and we have to retreat again and again to try and start a new line lol. No chat/communication available (to me at least) means we couldn't really do much to coordinate, I just followed whatever they were doing lol. Rest of the video is just more general heli gameplay/water drops until the end. I do notice at around 1:01:24 that another public server pilot, Zjawa9, had joined up and was flying around nearby doing water drops, so I tried to be more careful in where I was dropping and watching their movements to see where they were refilling, where they were dropping, trying to give them space in the air where I could so we don't crash lol. I think there was one moment they were very politely waiting for me to finish dropping and hovering behind me lol. (Thanks for waiting!!) Was fun, ggs lol. =) ============= Game: FIRESTORM 2 (Available to play for free on Roblox!) Roblox Game Link: https://www.roblox.com/games/10631992122 If you play Roblox or like Firefighting, Firestorm 1 and Firestorm 2 is great for a co-operative PVE fun gaming experience (no PVP gameplay at all, my favourite type of games) where you focus on fighting forest fires as a team (servers can hold up to 20-24 players I think!), and it's quite epic at times! I've learned quite a few wildland firefighting things just from being part of this game and community. And while the public servers aren't always realistic, some people try to work together, and those moments it's usually awesome. There are vehicles to drive, tools/equipment to use to defeat the fires and win the match. ============= Misc Stuff:
