The Star Wars Galactic Racer Finale... Pissed Me Off

I was finishing Act 3 of Star Wars Galactic Racer on ACE difficulty and enjoying myself... until the finale. 10:53 Finale & Reaction After everything Shade goes through, we're left with Hibi dumping an "everyone likes it better when we don't talk" joke(?). Seriously? THAT'S how we're ending this? 😂 I enjoyed the racing enough that it could've been a solid 8, or maybe 9 for me, IF you don't consider the writing. Shade barely has a personality -3 years of jail with no guts or passion to stick up for himself until it gets childish. While most of the other characters are the worst kind of opposite: obnoxious caricatures acting out recycled plot points... which I conveniently overlooked as much as possible until the finale somehow managed to drop me off a 2-foot-tall cliff of WTF. Times like this make me question if growing up with KOTOR was actually a good thing. I might be biased toward a heavier style since I saw my first pod race in theater at age 4. It was LIFE OR DEATH in the midst of the TRAGEDY that becomes Darth Vader! But by the end of Galactic Racer, I'm back to wondering about the direction of writing in mainstream gaming and the apparent lack of understanding of what it is to be alive or what is compelling. WHY are we supposed to settle for slop, like this is all Star Wars was supposed to be about? "Best Racing Game Ever" What happened to believable personalities, mystery, genuine strength, and depth in mainstream media? Most of the other characters were so bad that Sebulba ended up being my favorite after being a total slimeball in The Phantom Menace. I get that this is a racing game, but Star Wars had the capacity for greatness if it was done right.
