Should I walk my new puppy on lead/leash or off lead /leash?

This video is in response to a comment on another video as to whether a new puppy should be ’walked’ on or off a lead 🐶 I tend to treat 'training sessions' differently than 'taking a dog for a walk', and if I do take a dog for a walk, there's a reason for it other than 'just because that's what we should do'. But even when out on walks, I still use it as an opportunity to do some training.
