Asturias – Albéniz, arr. Corwell | Joe Broom, Euphonium (2019)

In 2019, I performed Neal Corwell's solo euphonium arrangement of Isaac Albéniz's "Asturias" as part of my Bachelor of Music Senior Recital at the University of Michigan's McIntosh Theatre. Originally composed for piano and made famous through its countless guitar transcriptions, "Asturias" takes on a new voice on the euphonium in Corwell's arrangement, showcasing the instrument's lyrical depth and technical range.
