In general, when you're getting close to the end of the game and it's either close or you have a bit of a lead, you will want to elect the safe play (getting sure points from known sources). If you know you're behind, that's when you go for the risk (drawing for something good, playing a bonus card bird, etc). In this game, it was neck-and-neck coming down the home stretch, and I elected the safe play. Was it the right choice? 0:00 - Intro 0:55 - Starting Hand 2:29 - Round 1 10:20 - Round 2 18:24 - Round 3 23:35 - Round 4 31:58 - Final Scoring The Tawny Eagle Throwdown (TET) is a two-stage tournament. Players are stratified into 8 buckets based on the average of their ELO ratings over the past 28 days, and then segmented into groups of 36, with a relatively even amount from each bucket. Each player is then randomly assigned 9 games within their group - one from a player each ELO bucket. The top 24 move on to the knockout stage, which is a best-of-3 single elimination tournament. The top 8 get a bye in that stage, while 9-24 don't. Constructive feedback is always welcome. Wingspan Tournaments Discord Server:   / discord
