BCCWID SPECIAL Board Meeting 9/3/26

This Meeting was held at the BCC Yavapai County Library at 1:30 pm where there was not enough room for all of the public in attendance to be seated, and many had to stand for the duration. The meeting lasted just under 45 mins. and very little was accomplished. You could tell the Chair wanted this meeting over before it started. The main purpose for this meeting was for the Board to approve the required Call to Election for the Recall of Chair Elaine Clayton. She adjourned it abruptly right after the Treasurer shared her concerns and pointed out discrepancies with the June Bookeepers Report which was on the agenda for discussion and possible action (approval). Chair Clayton nipped any discussion in the bud with some strange word salad about time constraints and not going down 30 minute rabbit holes (the room was reserved for 2 hours). This is when Owner/Users became very agitated and the room really started to heat up. She then made a treat to recess @43:24 then goes right into a threat to adjourn in 1 minute if room doesn't quiet down, looks at her watch and within seconds adjourns the meeting. The room broke out in applause and there was some heckling. (@44:00) There were more problems with this meeting. It begins with a 5 minute recess as is becoming customary with this Chair. Agenda item 3 gets skipped completely so there's no record of who from the public was in attendance. There were about 25-30 of us there, no sign in sheet either. This meeting did not need to be held at the library, The HDP building was wide open for this day but she never tried scheduling there according to the manager. Note: The Board recently voted to hold all of their meeting at HDP at 5:30 pm so more people could attend. This meeting was originally Live Steamed on Facebook by Tom Strizak.
