Birdland Level Quality Without the Crowds?!?!? Climb This Route Instead!

Birdland is one of THE classic Red Rocks multi pitch climbs. A flat approach, high quality climbing, sun exposure for the cold days, and crowds that rival an NFL game. If only there was another similar route that was less crowded... But wait, there is! At White Rock Springs, Purblind Pillar (5.8) offers 6 pitches of great climbing with a few bolts and some bolted belay's for your pleasure. The route gets sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. In terms of quality, it is 90% of Birdland, but with less crowds, leading to a potentially more pleasant day.
