"HAND BUILT HARLEY DAVIDSON" Passionate about American culture and Harley-Davidson, Will, behind @dirtywillcycles, builds his motorcycles his own way. First drawn to the aesthetics of Triumph choppers, he later turned to Harley-Davidson choppers before focusing on 1940s Harley-Davidson WL and vintage racing. In his spare time, Will develops highly tuned engine builds for his own motorcycles, with one simple goal: to race them. His work on the WL combines performance, weight reduction and a wide range of hand-made parts, with a particular focus on the engine. His approach has gradually earned him recognition among riders and respected figures in the scene, both in Europe and the United States. The performance parts he makes are now used by other riders, including participants in The Race of Gentlemen. His regular trips to the US also continue to shape his projects and his connection to American motorcycle culture. But Will’s approach goes beyond engines. From making parts and casting metal to leatherwork and traditional textile printing, he likes to understand how things are made — and learn to make them himself. Today, he is gathering parts for a new project: a 1200cc Harley-Davidson UL. The idea is to take the same approach as his WL black racer, but with a larger engine base, and push the preparation even further.
