Tinnitus Relief | High Frequency Sweeping Notch Noise | 8 kHz to 16 kHz | 10 Hours

This is a high frequency noise with a narrow notch filter that sweeps continuously from 8 kHz up to 16 kHz and back down again on a 45 second cycle; designed specifically for tinnitus listeners whose ringing sits in the upper frequency range. Most tinnitus masking noise uses a boost at a fixed frequency. This takes a different approach. The notch creates a moving void in the noise; a precise dip that travels through the high frequency range repeatedly. As the notch passes through your tinnitus frequency the contrast between the surrounding noise and the void may help draw the mind's attention away from the internal ringing. The sweeping motion means it crosses every frequency between 8 kHz and 16 kHz approximately once per minute — covering the full upper tinnitus range in a single listen. This concept is related to notched sound therapy; an area of active tinnitus research. It is not a cure and will not work for every listener. But for those whose ringing sits in the 8 kHz to 16 kHz range it is worth a focused listen at low volume. The underlying noise is full spectrum high frequency; similar in character to the original High Frequency Sweeping Noise on the channel but with the notch applied as the primary therapeutic element. Dark Screen at 1:30:00. Set the volume low - just below your tinnitus level. The notch works at low volumes.
