The Semi-Final Round of the 6th International ArtePiano Competition, Senior Artist Category, recorded live at the Chiesa San Nicola di Bari, Castelnuovo di Farfa, Italy — Friday 17 July 2026. Seven exceptional young pianists from around the world took to the stage, each performing a demanding solo recital programme spanning centuries and styles, from Bach to Shostakovich. 🎹 Competitors & Programmes: Ryugo Yoshino (Japan, 17) A second-year student at Tokyo's Toho Gakuen School of Music under Emanuel Rimoldi, and First Prize winner at the Japan Performers Competition. ♪ Carl Vine, Piano Sonata No. 1, Op. 1 ♪ Johannes Brahms, Variations on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 35, Book I Mohammed Alshaikh (Palestine, 23) A student at the Barenboim-Said Akademie, with recent prizes at the Isidor Bajić Piano Memorial and the Domenico Scarlatti International Piano Competition. ♪ J.S. Bach, Prelude and Fugue in C-sharp minor, BWV 873 ♪ Maurice Ravel, Ondine (from Gaspard de la Nuit) ♪ Camille Saint-Saëns, Danse macabre, Op. 40 (arr.
