We booked an entire 4-berth train cabin for just the two of us and set off from Da Nang for Dong Hoi — gateway to our next adventure in Phong Nha. 🚆🇻🇳
This turned out to be one of our favourite travel days in Vietnam.
Our journey takes us along the spectacular Hai Van Pass, with mountains, tunnels, hidden beaches and incredible coastal views before continuing through Hue, crossing the Perfume River and even catching a glimpse of the Imperial Citadel.
And of course, travelling with Gee means even a quiet train journey doesn’t stay quiet for long! 😂
PRIVATE CABIN TIP: There were only two of us, but to have the entire cabin to ourselves we booked all four berths.
After arriving in Dong Hoi, we’ll also show you around our Airbnb, where we’ll be staying while we explore Phong Nha. We’ll put the accommodation link below.
