"Second Run" a Short Film (and speech) by Alexa Juncaj

In fall of 2025, Nahli Curtis invited me to share a short film at her Traverse City premiere of "Counter Methods EVOLUTION". I accepted her invitation without hesitation (and without any preparation 😅) I'd never shown a short film, or spoken in front of that many people... but I knew I wanted to be a part of her premiere highlighting women's stories. It wasn't until I started piecing together any and every bit of ski footage I had that I watched a story naturally come together... my experience with burnout! It's something I've always struggled to put into words when asked about it. A lot of complicated things are hard to put into words though, which is why I've always loved video editing. I could describe how the past 14 years have felt but it's so much more accurate to show it visually. This project ended up capturing exactly how I see the whole thing from my perspective. Anyway, I never would have put this all into a cohesive story without your push! Thank you Nahli ❤
