Upzoning the Downtown of a Small City in Cities: Skylines II | Season 1 Episode 9

Today we are taking the downtown of a small city and upzoning many of the areas to reflect recent growth to the city. The scale of the downtown includes medium rise buildings of ten storeys or so. We also add some medium density row housing as a transition to single family homes. Lastly we re-balance some of the city services. My plan was to work on this series for some time, gradually growing the city of Cumberland into a thriving metropolis complete with urban sprawl and freeways. As the city grows, it would gradually be rezoned and key nodes gentrified to provide higher densities and remove nasty industry from prime inner-city land. As I am from New Zealand, the city is likely to take on an American / Australasian style. This series is however likely to end within a couple more episodes.
