The BeWild project: Advancing marine biodiversity monitoring at offshore wind farms

Discover how the BeWild project is transforming how we study marine life around offshore wind farms. Using uncrewed surface vessels, eDNA sampling, and visual surveys, the team is pioneering a safer, more sustainable, and scalable approach to ecological monitoring. This collaborative effort between Fugro, Wageningen University & Research, CrossWind, De Rijke Noordzee, Mecal, and Seekable is helping us better understand biodiversity in the North Sea and develop tools for future governance and conservation.
