Rosen. Arne Qvick - Guitar cover by Phil McGarrick. FREE TABS

The song "Rosen" (Meaning “The Rose” in English) is originally a Swedish song written by Erik-Ingvar "Beman" Bergman. It was first recorded and popularized by the Swedish artist Arne Qvick in 1963. Over the years, the song has been covered by several well-known Scandinavian artists. Here are some of the most famous versions: Håkon Banken released a highly popular Norwegian version on his successful 1982 album *Rosen*, and Jan Malmsjö recorded a well-known Swedish version in 1971. Lyrics [Verse 1] A lass saw a little rose there It was blossoming there in the light heights Thus she addressed her beloved one Whether he was able to climb to pick it for her [Pre-Chorus] She wants it and it's great like this It was like this and always will be She wants it and that's the custom She will also get what she wants [Chorus] One has to dig deep wells If one wants to get clear water Rosy red oh rosy red Deep waters don't run still [Verse 2] The lad is climbing the mountain in pain He isn't interested in the view at all He has only the little rose on his mind He'll carry it to his sweetheart [Pre-Chorus] She wants it and it's great like this It was like this and always will be She wants it and that's the custom She will also get what she wants
