Area Disposal ⇨ Vintage 1989 Heil Formula 7000 (C-Frame)

(Paradise Valley, Arizona) - (Happy Thanksgiving!) Some time ago, Andrew and I drove past Area Disposal's yard right off the 101 freeway in Scottsdale. There we saw this very unit sitting. We had no idea if it ran, let alone if they still used it. Turns out they do. It's the yard spare but not for long. Area Disposal bought two 22 yard McNeilus AutoReaches. Both are expected to be used for Black Canyon City. That means this truck will be no more, and the road to history comes to an end. This unit still features original factory components like the dump arm radius design on the bottom of the 7000 arm, and the "knuckleboom" grip fingers. The driver was extremely kind to bring this spare truck out just for Christian, Andrew and I. I can't thank him enough. Trucks of this rarity are extremely rare let alone in this condition. This Ex-Sacramento County unit is a 1989 model, just around the time Phoenix bought some of their first WhiteGMC Heil 7000s. This was a neat experience for sure. Likely the oldest side loader to be featured on this channel and I hope you enjoy what I gathered. Thank you for watching, and of course to the driver Jim for making this entire experience worthwhile!
