Dizi — Iran's ancient clay-pot lamb stew that you pound with a pestle before eating. This is Dizi Denj, the legendary dizi restaurant of Mashhad 🇮🇷 In this Iranian street food documentary we go inside Dizi Denj in Mashhad, Iran — the most famous dizi house in the city. Dizi (also known as abgoosht) is Persia's legendary slow-cooked lamb stew: tender lamb, chickpeas, potatoes and beans simmered for hours in small clay pots, then pounded into a rich paste with a long metal pestle right at your table and scooped up with fresh tanoor bread straight from the clay oven. If you ever wondered what to eat in Mashhad or what dizi is, this is the place. We tried it all: the classic Persian dizi with the full table pounding ritual, Mashhad's own local specialty Qorme — slow-cooked lamb topped with walnuts, sesame and cinnamon — and their unique lamb omelette: sunny-side-up eggs cooked with chunks of the same slow-cooked lamb. This is traditional Iranian food the way Iranian families have eaten it for generations. Pure Persian food culture. No scripts. No gimmicks. Just real Iranian street food — how it's made, how it's served, and the people who keep this ancient Persian cuisine alive (دیزی، آبگوشت، مشهد). 📍 LOCATION: Mashhad, Iran Dizi Denj Traditional Restaurant - دیزی سرای دنج Address: Razavi Khorasan Province, Mashhad, Shahid Shishechi, No. بلوار، داخل پارک, Iran Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2T9eGgQN8M4J5...
