"PERCHING For PREY" And VALLEY BIRDS - Sinhgad Pune

Sinhgad valley is one of the best birding places near Pune. On my observation, the Kingfisher and Red-breasted Flycatcher used their perches differently. The kingfisher was perched just above the water body with its eyes on the puddle for fish and the flycatcher was taking off from the perch every now and then and returning in seconds possibly trying to catch a fly in the vicinity, "perching for prey".
