Some corners of a garden seem to wait for us. 🌿 Today, I'm spending a quiet day in our French countryside garden, finally beginning a little project I've been dreaming about for a while: creating a new cottage-style flower bed. This corner of the garden had been left untouched, and I wasn't quite sure what it should become. I wanted something soft, a little wild, and natural enough to feel as though it had always belonged here. So I begin slowly. First, I clear the space and prepare the soil. Then I arrange the plants, moving them around until their different heights, shapes and textures begin to feel right together. Little by little, the first plants find their place in the ground. Finally, I add a simple stone border and a layer of mulch, bringing everything together. It's a small transformation, but seeing this once-empty corner become part of the garden feels so rewarding. Of course, the garden is far from finished. The plants still need time to grow, and there will be more changes along the way. But every garden has to begin somewhere. I hope you'll enjoy spending this peaceful gardening day with me, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the simple pleasure of making something grow. 🤍 New slow living videos every Sunday on Simple French Cottage. #SlowLiving #CottageGarden #AutumnGardening #FrenchCountryside #SimpleFrenchCottage #GardenTransformation #SlowGardening #GardenProject #FlowerBeds #CottageLiving
