Before You Die | “Swimmingpool” (Short Film)

Wrote the script a few years after my father passed away. It's about the time we had left, everything I wanted to say but couldn't. About becoming the parent to your own parent, and about a father who wasn't ready to accept that it was too late. Winner, Best Short Film, ARFF International Winner, Best Graduation Film, Prague Film School 2018 Winner, Best Actress (Daisy Kosmider), Festigious International Film Festival & Los Angeles Film Awards Swimmingpool was my graduation film at Prague Film School 2018. It has its faults, as first films tend to, but the story still speaks to me. I had to cut out the original music because it had copyright issues. So the sound is a bit strange at times. Written and directed by Simon Rajala Cast Neil Chase – Father Daisy Kosmider – Daughter Cinematography – Christine Leuhusen Also known as "Building A Swimming Pool"
