Wrek Diving on WWII HMS Coriolanus

Warship of the Royal Navy of Great Britain which belonged to the \ "Shakespeare \" class, is under the protection of the Ministry of Culture of the Croatian Republic. It is a minesweeper equipped with a steam engine built for navigation in difficult weather conditions, with a net tonnage of 554 tons, a length of 46 meters and a width of 8.5 meters. he armament consisted of 20 mm caliber guns for anti-aircraft defense, and 30 antisubmarine depth mines. It was launched in 1940 and was part of the fleet consisting of 12 units of the same class. It is assumed that towards the end of the war it carried out "spy ship" operations, which could also be true, given the electronic equipment found on board. It was sunk on May 5th 1945 by hitting a mine and it was wrecked within a few minutes. The depth is 11-25 meters, but you have to be careful of the numerous fishing nets that wrap around the wreck. Given the good temporary visibility and shallow water, the ship is also accessible to inexperienced divers. Sometimes the wreck can be glimpsed from the surface.
