CDJ - One of the biggest youth catholic event in the US. Mission: The mission of CDJ is to evangelize youth and young adults of different ages with a purpose to become disciples of all nations; to evangelize and create a fellowship that will bring them back to our church. CDJ Youth congress, is an annual event where more than 10,000 youth and young adults gather to have an encounter with God through a Metanoia, Greek word for change. A two day event where youth and young adults experience the love of God through the means of adoration, praise and worship, sharing of the word, transformational testimonies, and the blessed sacraments of communion and reconciliation. History of CDJ • The first Catholic Youth event that ESNE held, was at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 1994, with the opening theme "We are the light of the world." • In 2003, 10,000 young people and young adults arrived at CDJ, as it was a massive event. ESNE held the congress at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. • For the first time in 2009 CDJ was broadcast live internationally to the 18 countries of Spanish-speaking audience where ESNE is broadcast. • By popular demand CDJ celebrated its first bilingual event in 2017 by having conferences in English and Spanish along with musical presentations. • In 2019 CDJ will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the service of youth and young adults. El Sembrador is a non-profit Catholic evangelization society legally established in the county of Los Angeles, in the State of California, USA. Founded on April 3, 1984 by its coordinator and director, Noel Díaz, this apostolate and evangelizing society since the beginning has remained faithful to the Catholic Church and the Holy Father and works under the guidance and support of the pastoral ministry of the Church and through the spiritual assistance of Mons. José H. Gómez, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, California. El Sembrador takes the message of the word to more than 19 countries in America and Europe (USA, México, Costa Rica, Bolivia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Republica Dominicana, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Perú, Uruguay, Venezuela, España). In 1994 El Sembrador presented for the first time CDJ, the event dedicated especially for youth, with topics of interest for adolescents and young adults taught by renowned speakers who share the love of God through the word. CDJ throughout its existence has positively impacted the lives of more than 190 thousand adolescents and young adults. Every year, the wait for the CDJ (Catholic Youth Congress) increases, attracting more souls for the kingdom of God How does CDJ help youth? God invites young people to leave a footprint that fills their lives, to be courageous and to not be afraid to profess their faith. CDJ goes together with this, as a youth evangelization Congress helps young people turn their hearts to God's love. "After CDJ, you will never be the same," we carry this motto in our hearts because we see the change of every youth and young adult attending this transformational event. Youth and young adults become ignited with the power of the Holy Spirit, they become active members of their home parishes, invite other youth to attend, and most importantly of all, they learn to love and follow the blessed sacraments. With CDJ, Young people understand that following God is not synonymous of repentance, on the contrary it helps them to feel blessed to use their youth for the service of God.
