Webinar: Modeling Shear Failure in Reinforced Concrete Beams with DIANA

This session is intended to demonstrate the modelling and analysis setup procedure for a reinforced concrete beam subjected to shear failure mechanism. This demonstration covers: Geometry of a beam in context of plane stress Supporting plates Reinforcement bar Nonlinear concrete model Imposing loads and boundary conditions Nonlinear analysis setup Post-processing A new concept for introducing embedded reinforcement bar in the beam is presented. In addition, Total Strain Crack model is assigned to the beam model. Further, various post-processing features, which are newly available in DIANA, are presented to show and interpret the results.
