September Learning Cafe - Navigating Trauma and Healing Together in Early Care and Learning Settings

This Learning Café will use a multi-systems attachment lens to explore several relationships that are important for the emotional and mental health needs of young children and the adults who care for them. Together, we will examine how past experiences of trauma, grief, and loss can influence families and present child care settings from both the child and the adult perspectives. One objective is to expand common trauma-informed practice approaches to include the carers themselves, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, healing, and resilience. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding that healing is not a one-way process; it is intergenerational and multi-systemic.
